Re-sending a DocuSign

When you have a contract out and it's been opened by the DM, how long to you wait before hitting the re-send button? How many times is too many times to hit re-send?

After 24hours, coworker of mine used to hit re-send at the top of the hour every hour to make it look automated.

What's the cadence you all use?

Once they have opened it, the next day I hit resend and then I'll send over an email saying something to the affect "Hey didn't mean to send that contract again, but were you able to take a look at it?"

I think every hour on the hour could be a bit much there

I always hit them the day after with a "checking in more so as a confirmation of receipt. Sometimes they hit spam folders.. and you give me peace of mind that you do in fact see it?"

If they respond with "yes"

Then it's another reply back "Great! Thanks for that. Once you sign off, we can begin your onboarding like we discussed on xyz date here coming up! We're excited to for this partnership and I have already shared your goals with the delivery team"

Should they not sign that day after all of that... it's a re-send Docu-Sign.

From there - they 100% are deserving of a "I am confused email.. you said you were signing 3 days ago. Did I miss something?"

every hour on the hour is a bit thirsty...but yea give it 2 3 days and send a check in email or even I call the next day to check if they got it and it's not over spam (pretty common especially if PandaDoc)

I’ll resend every 2 - 3 days unless I’m really thirsty for the deal... then probably 1.5 - 2 days.

Always tough to toe the line on this one. I believe DocuSign actually has a setting that sends auto reminders once a day until expiration. That said I try to come off as “a lot more busy than I am” and try not to re send at all if possible.

Automated reminders every 3 days, sometimes shorter if there's a time crunch. Then I leave a manual note to follow up myself after a few days. Sometimes if they ghost me I intentionally void the DocuSign and send them an email saying it happened due to inactivity and asking if they're still interested.
