Recruiters keep reaching out about BDR roles..

Okay, I’ll never be one of those people who post cold emails and rip sales people/recruiters

but I keep getting recruiters reaching out to me about bdr roles, I’m in a sales management position, have held AE roles as well.

Of course, I’m not screenshotting and putting anyone on blast. But is it rude to just say, “I have zero interest in going back to being a BDR” or something along those lines?

does anyone else deal with this? Am I loser?

Delete and move on. You owe them nothing. Don't waste your time replying, they're just spamming whoever they can find with a template email to meet KPIs and hope they get a reply. Super common as most recruiters suck ass (I'm a former recruiter so not just talking shit here,) and has nothing to do with you/your profile.

Do you have BDR listed in your work experience on LI? If so, delete it. Once I did that, the BDR recruitment stopped completely.

Used to happen to me all the time.   Most of the time I ignored it, but one day I was feeling especially feral and sent a cold "what part of my profile indicates that with my decades of experience I'd be a good fit as an entry-level BDR?".

It was very satisfying, but I usually don't give them the time of day.

You know - I used to hate this too and recently learnt to see through it. It’s the same as when the package and benefits is much lower than you’re on and you feel insulted. Smile, appreciate your position and move on. IMO
- that said, every now and then you can’t beat winding up a recruiter and pretending to be interested. Friday activity for sure.

That's pretty bad if you're a manager. when i was a brand new AE I got those a lot but now that I'm over a year experience in my role it's mostly stopped. I just click the "decline without message" button on all of them...unless it's a company I could see myself working for in the future in which case I'll respond and say no thanks but tell them that

Like funcoupons said, they are spamming LinkedIn to hit activity metrics. Don't worry about it

Where are they reaching out? LinkedIn? If yes, I will remove those BDR keywords and see if there are any changes.

Delete, see you later, or hey thanks but I have no interest in going backwards.

sometimes I gotta just dig into them. Only because as a previous SDR you KNOW you gotta do your research and to reach out without seeing my work history is unacceptable.

Recruiters are sales people too.  I almost always give them a listen.  You never know.
