I started in Q3 with a company (literally right at the start of Q3) and didn't get any commission for renewals because I was 'too new'. Fair enough.
Q4 ends and it's basically my bread & butter for the whole year, so I'm stoked that I'm getting renewals & a pay out.
2 days before this paycheck is supposed to drop, my CEO pulls a 'you'll only get paid 50% of this because you haven't been here a full year yet.' NOWHERE in my comp plan does it mention this kind of pay scale. There's a shitty clause I argued when I started saying the CEO has all power to decide what does or doesn't get paid.
Naturally, I was furious and went to my supervisor to be like What the ACTUAL FUCK. Argued that I've been working my ass off, have saved multiple accounts from churning, have strong relationships with customers, etc.
He manages to convince the CEO to give me full pay... but that I should expect some more clearly defined fine print in upcoming comp plans.
This is not the first time since I've started that I feel singled out to not get paid something I earned (example: we had a contest that I clearly won, he decided to extend the contest until others were at a level near me. I still won, but he awarded someone else as a 'surprise bonus' because he thought they put in a good effort).
.... I love my boss. I love my coworker. But my CEO is not fucking cool.
Anyway... glad to get paid, but pissed that I had to cry to my boss about it first.
Anyone else get dicked around like this?
