Sales intelligence - Which customers are using certain hardware?

Hey team,

Wondering if any sales intelligence tool on the market exists for seeing a customers hardware stack.

We integrate/compete with very specific segments of hardware devices, we have apollo and can see the general software platforms, but nothing really in the hardware side.

Any leads?

I've never found any of the sales intelligence platforms to really deliver what I wanted in terms of software, and I feel hardware would be even more challenging.

Plus, identifying the type of hardware people use, in many cases, could result in some serious exposure in terms of security issues.

I feel like this isn't something that will be easy, if even possible.

Only way to know if your prospect has an iPhone or an Android is to send a text and see if it's blue or green. By the nature of your competitor, Tosibox VPN.. correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the VPN encrypt almost everything, like that's the whole point? Sounds like this is a pipe dream. Wondering if others have any ideas.

Yeah, wouldnโ€™t a program have to ping each device for a response, which is kind of a security issue if a piece of software external to your network can do that?

Are there ways for networks to trace that? If so, can they reliably report out to a 3rd party tool to list what a company has in use? It feel like that would be an exposure vector and a field day for cybersecurity firms.

IT Hardware infrastructure, e.g for us there's a popular hardware VPN called Tosibox. We're a direct compete. But getting intel on who uses them so far has been hearsay and word of mouth.
