Before you flip out. I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN BROUGHT UP BEFORE, I USED THE SEARCH BAR AND DIDNT FIND MY ANSWER I WAS LOOKING FOR.
As some may know if you read my most recent post. Im on a death march to the end of my time at the org I have been with the last 5 years.
See post link below.

I have realized somewhat that maybe what has happened to me is a sign not only did/do i need to leave the org, but maybe i need to leave sales as a whole. I think my skills, work ethic, results (closed deals, pipeline gen), organization, processes, research strategies, leadership, and how I deal with customers (especially disgruntled ones *I have many examples that end positively*).
That Customer Success might be a role I would flourish in and mentally and financially be stable in.
However, my resume speaks to how good I am as a sales person, and how I have fast tracked my career at a young age.
I have applied to a bunch of roles in CS and not gotten any traction despite how much I think my skillset in sales would translate.
Would y'all recommend I have a different resume thats more tailored just to CS type functions? (if so what do you recommend I put on there) As they sometimes require 2-3 years of customer success experience which in my mind, Sales is the ultimate customer success and often times the CS team look to sales to help them do their jobs!
I know once I get my foot in the door I have a great talk track for how I work with customers that are unhappy, onboarding, in the process of leaving, retention, etc. but my sales resume doesn't show that purely from that standpoint. It shows how good I am with creating, building, and growing customer bases and revenue direct and in the channel.
However I am having a hard time getting these conversation even started.
