Being a salesman how would you feel when you receive a sales call from another salesman trying to sell you something and what's your reaction?

Would you give him the chance to pitch or refuse to be sold something you may not need realizing that one of the main reasons of his call is to achieve his target through you?

The only salespeople I've talked to willingly have been ones that have something I want. Like the solar guy and the Honda rep. People doing cold outreach to me via LI or email aren't selling me, an IC, anything I'm going to buy, as I'm not a DM and absolutely not spending any of my own coin on anything for my job.

I usually hear people out. If they're good I'll give them info and point in the right direction. If they're bad I'll tell them I'm in sales and not the right person to talk to and wish them good luck.
