Savages!

If you can find a way that would help me break into the climate space... well, that's my passion and we'd become friends and coffee on me!
Seriously , I am looking a grid siting, transmission line remote sensing, and solar, wind, anything. SaaS prefferd

I'm a 10 yeah successful AE focused on cloud hosted geospatial solutions and any help or insight would be great. A referral would make my day 🤞

The utility and renewable energy space I believe is hiring you should be able to find some open positions, especially in the manufacturing side. Where have you looked and what for?

I’ve looked at mostly the start ups focusing on accelerating the adoption of renewable energy via SaaS platforms that range from siting, predictive analytics for transmission lines (stress test for potential weather events), Ag 4.0, and for Account Executive positions

A not so obvious choice for this could be looking into companies that supply packaging or other consumables with a sustainable focus, its bigger and bigger.

Look into companies that are funded by CH4(its the chemical makeup of Methane and they are distributing funding right now).

For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to copy a link from the forums into a post from the mobile app. So: use the search bar for “climate “. There’s a savage named @SerialBiller who landed an AE role a little while back who you might want to tap. Good luck!

1. Google utility/renewable energy companies + funding

2. Crunchbase.com and search by industry

3. Set up LinkedIn job alerts in this industry

Solar is an easy one. I know a couple of places that just want boots on the ground to sell panels. Higher up the chain is a little harder, but can help if you want a role in capital markets.

The secret to penetrating that group is to network like crazy with the companies selling into it. Identify the companies you want to work for and reach out to their Execs on LI.

Not sure why you think it’s so great though. Selling into utilities is a long, arduous process with horrendous sales cycles, disappearing budgets, and posturing executives. While there will be investment into it, it’s a very tough selling environment.

Search for recruiters and VC’s in your area that focus on that industry. Then start reaching out to them and letting them know what you’re trying to do. An intro from them is much better than another online application.
