SDR comp

I'm newer to SaaS sales but curious what's typical to expect as an SDR in this role? my OTE os $65k with bonuses which seems low considering what I see people make in SaaS. Curious what y'all have seen out there.

Where are you located?

What is the sales cycle length?

What are the economics of a transaction (ACV, CAC, TTP, LTV)?

Comp is a product of all topline considerations that go into the dollar in, dollar our matrix of an org. Without knowing all of these details, we can’t tell you if you’re being paid fairly.

Fair enough! Didn’t think to include

Texas, anywhere from 2 months-6 months on average, deal sizes from $10k-$100k (average between $15-20k)
It’s an existing platform so not much work goes into onboarding new clients as the product already exists and is ready to go as soon as they sign.

You don’t know enough about the business to know if you’re being underpaid. That said, go on RepVue and Glassdoor to check out your commodities and comparable sized companies in Texas to see how you stack up.

$65k for an entry level role isn’t bad.

Yeah, my first role was 30k base with a similar OTE as this. Wasn't great, but it was a start.

It does sound a bit low. Sounds like your first role in software?

One thing you might do is go look up competitors on Repvue and see what they’re paying. Could help you figure out how you’re really doing.

Also google the title and your city and state. It'll give you a good idea of what the average is in your area.

Does this include Starbucks gift cards? I'd go ask the hiring manager. Could make a big difference.

45-55k base, 20k-30k commission. 65-85k OTE all day. 70k newer rep 85k "senior"

Reading the context below as well. I’d confidently say you are underpaid. Target comp would be around 85k as a floor. The market is tough right now as well so it’s probably smart to pad the resume ride it out and then either get promoted there(if it’s a path) or take a higher OTE as an SDR elsewhere. Problem is, becoming an SDR elsewhere means the clock resets if your target is to be an AE soon

Yeah I felt like base of 70k would be more competitive with this market and current cost of living with 85k as OTE as you said.
And that’s a fair point, I should be getting AE by mid year or so. That should be $25k bump which I plan to negotiate higher as well.

Feels like for SaaS, this is on the lower end. Is this comp plan shared/similar to other reps on your team?

It’s identical to my entire team. We’re all paid the same structure with only diff being our bonuses based on performance
