Sending memes to prospects

I've noticed a trend lately on Facebook and LinkedIn sales groups where sales people are randomly sending memes related to their products to prospects to try and generate a response and get a meeting. Whenever I see it, it's always b2c guys doing it and it actually working fairly well.

Anyone ever try it in the b2b world and have decent results? I feel like cold texting a prospect a cyber security meme may not go over great ๐Ÿ˜‚ but curious if anyone has done it.

Iโ€™ve seen it work. But maintain good caution with it. If someone got up on the wrong side of the bed, you might get labelled as โ€œunprofessionalโ€.

Best to A/B test with them in a cadence and see the results yourself.

I havent sent memes in cold outreach, but some contacts I have been meeting with I have sent a memes to.

Usually its when we are waiting on someone's approval on either end or they havent responded to feedback on a demo/pricing

agreed I like it more with people I've already been in touch with rather than cold outreach

the concept of cold texting someone seems so cringey to me I struggle with it.

which is odd, because I used to do lead gen for realtors as a side hustle for awhile. and I would cold text all the time back then and actually get meetings from it.

Yea, most likely not a good idea.

I've not done it, and don't see it going over well for cold outreach with SVPs/C level execs I haven't met yet.

I have issues with emojis in emails as well.

To be approached with caution.

yeah its definitely one of those things I think could work with a select group for sure, but overall don't see it being the best

Never tried this, but I can't imagine doing it randomly would work.

I haven't sent memes cold outreach and frankly I don't do it much even if I have the relationship with the POC. I DID however send one to a POC who had jury duty recently, so hopefully I will have some good results soon?

This works only after you've built rapport. I did it after a guy had kept insisting that he wanted to talk but ghosting me on contact number 7 after our initial meeting. It ended up working and I've got a third meeting set for Friday.

nice. yeah as followup I could totally see it having a place. the differences between b2b and b2c are just always funny to me.

I haven't and don't just given the majority of the audience and situations I am in. I can see it maybe working well with selling to a BDR Manager or other Sales type manager where they might be on the younger side.

CXOs :
Bigger companies : Most likely, I wouldn't send. They are senior folks who wear suits (just exaggerating).
Startups / SMB: I will send gif / memes. They are young folks watching reels and Tiktok (hopefully not).

Junior titles:
I most certainly would send gifs / memes but more on the lines of : "Can't wait to hear back from you" type. No taunts, Harmless gifs and memes.

More of a gif guy assuming it resonates and makes sense based on prior messaging and persona.

Ha I saw this the other day and thought of posting it here. It's stupid when companies try to cap commission when they say there isn't one to begin with.
