Tattoo of company logo

Went to a work event this week out of town. The president and a number of sales folks hit the bars afterwards, drank way too much, and were talking about getting the company logo tattoo'd on themselves.

Assuming it was a bit, I went along with it for a while, until Pres comes up and says he found a shop that will take us all and the uber's here in 10 mins.

Everyone got hyped up about it, meanwhile, I'm sitting there thinking this is all insane. Most these people have been at the org for <1 year.

I made up some excuse and got out of it. Naturally, there was some ball busting the next day, but I can't help but feel like I got the better end of the deal, as they all show off their very poorly done calf tattoos.

Am I the asshole here, or is it absolutely crazy to get a corporate logo tattooed on your body?

Lmao wow. The kool-aid runs deep in some sales org, but this takes the cake. You dodged a bullet. Atleast one those reps will be gone in about 6 months and left with a shitty tattoo as a reminder of their poor decision making.

I wonder if tattoo removal reimbursement will come with the severance when these dudes get launched. You escaped.

To be honest, with the exception of sports teams, I try to avoid even wearing clothing that has a corporate logo.

To be honest, I do have some sweet Patagonia full zips that are super comfortable.
But yeah, most of my apparel is unbranded.

Same. Most corp clothing seems like a shirt they grabbed from Dollar General

They are crazy to think anyone less than a year in would get that tattoo. You would get some shit, but give it a month, they will probably regret it when one of them is on a PIP

It may be related, but my hometown had to put out a PSA when Yellowstone was premiering because too many idiots were coming into the hospital, peak covid, with infected branding wounds on their chest.

Maybe it was a temporary tattoo ? Hoping itโ€™s temporary Jesus wtf ?????
I had my exโ€™s initial tattooed when I was 20-21. Major regret. Wouldnโ€™t suggest anybody get company / people / hobbies tattooed. They change. YOUR BODY DOES NOTTTTT.

Unless they paid me to get the tattoo and that amount was enough to retire, then no I would never get a logo on my body

Has been a long time. Kool-Aid operates within the sales organization which makes it difficult. they shot you. At least one of these representatives will disappear for about six months leaving behind a lousy note to remind you of their evil plans.

Our CEO/Co-founder lost our fantasy league a couple years back and his punishment was getting a tattoo of the company logo. He cheated slightly and got some kind that is supposed to fade away after a year or so, and its only the size of a dime, but still hilarious to me.
