Testing my new Agenda Setting Email - Pre Demo increase in account registration

Hey guys happy to give back to the community been testing on how to increase account registration the step right before the transaction which should increase conversion and must say this has shown improvement so I'm getting account creations shy of 50% of the booked meetings.

I'll be sharing WR Deals with nice stories but most of them will be related to having this included to set the tone of the conversation

here is the content:

Subject: Prospect First Name X Your First Name your Company Name

Hi First Name

I look forward to our call tomorrow.

Part of tomorrow's agenda is me showing you a demo about how our platform works. But in order for us to make the most out of our call I'd appreciate if you have any questions or have particular things you want me to address accordingly to share them with me prior to have it ready for you.

I also want to invite you to create an account with us prior to our call in order to familiarize yourself with our platform and share your insights, feedback or even questions with me...you can use this [Insert Registration Link] here.

See you tomorrow!

Itโ€™s a good test to see if the prospect is solid or not. And it reminds them of the upcoming demo. I donโ€™t see anything bad about it.

saaskicker made a very good adjustment to your email. I'll only add the advice to be mindful of writing in complete sentences, and rereading for context, clarity, and brevity. Take it from someone who has to continuously self-edit.

Of course someone mentioned an edit will do that. Its why its up there honestly i don't think people will read all that so im up for suggestions

are you running discovery before this call? or do you demo first? your line "But in order for us to make the most out of our call I'd appreciate if you have any questions or have particular things you want me to address accordingly to share them with me prior to have it ready for you." is basically discovery, is this prospect ready for a demo?

SDR do the disco...so i get a lot of of "qualified" meeting that shouldn't have been hense the need to create this email in the 1st place. So to answer your question they should be qualified but the real numbers end up not. So its also a sign for me to weed out the qualified ready to close vs people just coming to browse. Which are like 60% (conservative) of the meetings I have.
So i end up doing a little of both.

gotcha. this approach works to fill that gap, i would rephrase to make it more centered around them. I don't think you need to say "im going to give you a demo", i'm sure its in the title or the SDR sold the meeting as a demo.

I'd make it a quick list.

Hi FN,
Looking forward to connecting tomorrow, to make the most of your time can you please:

1. Send over any questions or features that you are interested in so I can add them to the agenda

2. Create an account here [insert link]

yours is wordy, and has too much "me" / "I" which is inherently not focused on the prospect.

if you can go above and beyond you can coach them through the sales cycle at this stage saying, typically before a call a company like X will send the following over & create an account. up to you on how you spin it. don't want it to make it seem like their doing your job or homework before getting on a call that is about them.

Good adjustments.
Doing your own disco is always a good idea, and if that'll do it for you when go for it. I'd still try and tease insights out of them on the call.

Yea yea...im certain the disco in a 30min session would be way more insightful than the 2min the SDR does...like i treat the SDR qualification as a way to guide thr convo but keeping it open in the same time

how complicated is your solution? there's no way a 2 min disco can queue up a successful demo in my experience. unless this is highly transactional. then i'd just record a demo and send a contract after the 2 min disco.

not really that complicated - however it revolves around people and payroll so I guess there is usually the sensitivity to expose details like that over a 2 min disco to an SDR.

For all you mail mergers out there, do you see more success emailing one DM or all DMs on a custom thread? I've noticed that putting all relevant DMs on one campaign that is 100% customized to their business has a much higher response rate (28% meeting sucess)
