Tired of applying for Jobs ๐Ÿ˜”. Need suggestions.

Hello All,

I am looking for a opportunity to work as a SDR in tech space but I'm finding it very difficult to even land on a Interview since I don't have any experience.

I am not sure what to do. If this continues, my morale may go down and I might leave thought of being a SDR.

BUT I really like sales and want to Work as a SDR. So I'll persist But I am not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

You can upload it as an image using the camera icon. Just make sure you block out any information that would dox yourself.

apply to companies like MemoryBlue or BAO. I'm sure there's others like them. They're basically outsourced SDR's. Companies hire them to do cold outreach for them. They have great training and will get you in touch with the companies you're calling for to eventually transition over to them. Since they have that model of trying to get you hired out they are always hiring.ย

I second this. We get a lot of our SDRs from MemoryBlue and they're usually really stellar.ย

I never worked there. I know several people who have though and their training is top notch.ย

Have you looked at the jobs tab here?

Yes but at the time of survey, they were asking about things like base salary, sales quota, etc which I didn't had as a newbie. I randomly put things up.

ย I don't have much expectations from that.ย

I haven't applied for a single job in the last couple months..but have landed 4 separate interviews.ย
A. find a company you want to work for. repvue is great for finding good places
B. find sales execs on linkedin at that company
C. send them a direct message with this framework:ย
"Hi,ย
I noticed that your company [accomplished something, raised funding, etc].. I imagine you're looking for salespeople to help [achieve a goal, etc]. Here's why i think I might be a good fit for your team:
1. [list accomplishment #1]
2. [list accomplishment #2]
3. [list something you want to improve upon and how xx company can help]

Would you be open to meeting with me soon?"

I've used this framework and it's much more effective. Treat job hunting as a sales process. The product is yourself. And none of the people i interviewed with ever asked for a resume!ย

That's Cool!ย

As I don't have any past experiences related to sales, what should I mention instead of accomplishments which will have significant impact?

Traits such as coachable or something like that?

That will help yes. Even if your past experiences don't relate to sales, think of what you've done in previous roles and utilize words like "executed"..."developed"...use action words that show what you've done and how you did it.

Yeah I would look at LI as I was involved in a thread today that had over 50 tech companies looking for SDRs. Many people are trying to help out those effected by layoffs, so this post came from someone looking for a new opportunity and the LI community came through on offerings.

Do you have any experience? If yes, translate it well in your resume. Start networking and there are a lot of groups on Linkedin thatโ€™s flooded with SDR/BDR roles everyday.

Hey, Firstly thanks for being generous enough for replying.ย

I am from India and I prefer to work remotely and as I mentioned, I don't have any experience.

Is there any possibility?ย

There could be but again, this is not a remote job and you have to move and there is no relocation coverage so everything will be financed by you
