Making a gif of yourself just with a sign saying “thoughts?” Has helped me a decent amount

I would have to agree with @Kosta_Konfucius on making the gif of yourself, otherwise it's a huge gamble.

This would be a not so good one to use.

I closed an 8 figure deal with that exact gif.

Ok, I didn’t.

It's really going to come down to your relationship with the prospect. If I have good rapport, then maybe. But if it is an already touchy relationship, probably best to not give them a reason to block you

I usually only use them in a last ditch effort to get a response or a reschedule on a no show meeting. At that point I don't care if I end up in the clown folder @oldcloser

Not in a cold email. Definitely later on if something fits and I have the rapport built with the customer.

Tough putt. Humor is totally subjective. Quick way to get sent to the clown folder.

GIFs and Memes don’t work. But they can help you stand out. And standing-out works !

You're assuming a lot by sending GIFs cold, if it is after you have been working with the prospect and they have matched up in a sense of humor then by all means go for it.

Depends on the industry and prospect IMO. If you're dealing with a more relaxed work environment/industry then it could be worthwhile. However, if you're in an industry that typically isn't known for risk taking, I'd steer clear.

Selling to engineers so yeah not a great sense of humor. Wish I worked in a more relaxed industry sometimes.

Maybe after a relationship has started but not for cold outreach.

I get a fair amount of prospecting emails. The gif thing seems to be more common now. I blow 100% of them off. To me it simply comes across as a give up or desperation. I’d guess it may work with different ICP’s though.

Making a gif of yourself usually always gets responses - you just make sure that you're cute / funny.
That said, using memes or GIFs won't get you opportunities, it will only get you a foot in the door.

I usually use famous quotes from famous series as GIfs or memes. They work fine for me - to built rapport.

Definitely, all of these cool stuff are barrier breakers between you and the prospects, even the prospecting posts Gasty is sharing got many reps who are using that technique already.
But just make sure to use em wisely, to avoid losing the sense of business!

I find gifs and memes to be part of the process with anyone under 35. Once you go older, you gotta stay text or phone call heavy. It’s just the way the world works these days

Really depends on the persona in my experience. I sell to sales and revenue operations. It works.

When I've sold to finance, it definitely does not work.

I dont usually use them, but at an old company I worked at they were a regular part of the process and seemed to sometimes have good return. I'm in a different industry now with a more serious ICP, so I stay away

If you send them and use an engagement software (Outreach/SL/Groove) it will highly increase the likelihood of your email going straight to spam

For all you mail mergers out there, do you see more success emailing one DM or all DMs on a custom thread? I've noticed that putting all relevant DMs on one campaign that is 100% customized to their business has a much higher response rate (28% meeting sucess)
