Well I’ve got a couple ideas on the air. My experience, and contact list, would be in starting my own lighting rep agency. I would likely try to start it in a smaller market, since it’s easier to convince manufacturers to move to someone new and I make contact with all the big players since I’m in a big market. I will probably offer my current company owners ownership so I can A) get their blessing to basically have 2 jobs B) get some more years of experience behind the venture

Another possible is an interior design firm or maybe just a lighting fixture design firm.

Option 1 is basically free to start and very quickly should make money, if acquiring the correct manufacturers I could easily cover any overhead effectively immediately.
Option 2 will take longer to get clients and make money but it’s more what I want to do.
Option 3 will require more money at start but I can kind of do it in tandem with option 2.

I hope I`m getting LESS done next year.

In 2022

- we transitioned our 2 yr old twins from being cared for by their mum at home, to daycare
- I was diagnosed with and beat cancer,
- and worked super hard to meet quota ( met my yearly quota in q4.

In 2023

- i hope the kiddos enjoy more happy days in Daycare
- i hope we never have to step in a hospital,
- and I hope to have a more evenly distributed stream of deals and opportunities so I don`t have to go through a hectic q4 again :D

All in all, I`m looking to stress less and smell the flowers a bit more :)
