I have worked in a few BDR type roles with goal to generate new referral partnerships.
Personally, I don't like to cold call into a target partner multiple times just to leave a vcm or have an awkward convo.
If I can get initials convos going and it seems like there is genuine interest, I am happy to be persistent but if there is no response to initial emails and call(s), I typically look to move on and look for others to connect with.
I don't want to build a reputation as a pest. But I get the argument to make multiple dials in a short time span in that the target I am trying to speak to is busy when I initially reached out.
Curious how other sales professionals go about getting in front of targets.
Shallow but targeted and genuine approaches. Maybe reach out several weeks later if needing something new?
Lots of dials, emails, office visits, etc.
