What’s your guilty secret to getaway to get time off or anything work related

Let me first say I am an intern (remote), so I guess I can get away with this stuff for a reasonable amount of time. I have a doctor's appointment at 11, so I made the meeting an hour long, knowing it would only take 10 minutes as it's a quick call. I have 50 minutes to go to the doctor without taking any time off. Usually, I can ask my manager, but it's a Monday, so I know he will say no. What's your guilty secret?

Pretty rare I see such entitlement here, especially from someone who's not even in sales.

You have a monthly Dr appt - nothing big there. Plenty of people do. But you're trying to get out of more work? Sounds lazy and entitled. Especially from one of your previous posts where you ask advice on how to get an internship.

I still get my work done tbh. I just work later 😂. Some days I have a lot on my hands other days not so much

1) Just be an adult and tell people when you need time off to take care of yourself or others.

2) If I want to blow off work...I just do the above and take a personal day. I transition all tasks that are open for that day to a teammate, and I return the favor when they need it.

Ignoring everyone else's calling you out here (which is pretty deserved) and responding to your post earnestly.

Back when I was a regular smoker, cigarette breaks were a great way to get outside of the office. I'd usually take 2-3 a day for 10-15 minutes.

Now that I'm doing field sales and on the road most days, I'll make sure to take 30 minutes to walk around a park between stops around midday (I don't usually eat lunch).

Too early to ask that for still being an intern!
Just be honest about it, if you really need one then ask for one and I believe thay your manager won't be delayed and also consider you should have annual vacations+casual and sick ones for any emergencies besides the weekly offs and the normal holidays I would say that's a helluva plenty offs!
