Which Marketing folks do you like on LinkedIn and why?

I know that Sales hates Marketing with a passion, but there are some marketers who don't deserve that hate.

I'll start.

Chris Walker seems legit, and knows what he is talking about.

What about you?

I will “tolerate” anyone in marketing who:
1) doesn’t post bullshit on LI
2) had some sort of field role in the past
3) understands that customers don’t want to get 19 pages of info in a cold email.

Tolerate. I don’t like any of them, but I can tolerate some.

Has to be. No one else gets the humor and snark like sales savages. Marketing is always up in their feelings.

I said what I said. 🤷‍♀️

I actually reached out to him and said if you want to join the War Room I'll get you in. He said "nah I'm not a sales guy"....

Me. My last post was lit. 1 - DO YOU have an e-commerce store doing over $10,000 a month in revenue? THEN YOU NEED THIS AI ALGORITHM (holds up gold usb drive to the camera w fuckboy haircut & clear rimmed glasses w readers on cause eyesight is actually fine) TO SCALE OVER $1M a month in sales.

Chris Walker is a snake oil salesman.  He pontificates with his videos about how marketing "should be" when his strategies (focusing on only down funnel opportunities, not tracking lead metrics, etc) aren't scalable past a few million in revenue and only work in MASSIVE TAM product environments.  Man, he loves his own voice though, that's for sure.  Anyone who challenges his flawed logic is marked a "troll" or simply ignored.

I am one the few that is a big fan of Marketing (sometimes we irritate each other for sure but that increases our bonding). I follow a lot of people across different verticals of Marketing, no one in particular that I admire the most.

Big Andy Raskin fan. I’ve changed my pitch up based on the stuff he posts. All about illuminating to buyers why the old way is broken and you’re helping companies play the new game. It’s good stuff.

I like Darryl a lot. Kyle Lacy has his moments, when he’s not pawning pavilion (revenue collective)

Dave Gerhardt (Drift) puts out great stuff and calls out fluffy marketing bs. He did a hilarious video with corporate bro a while back.

This is great advice. I hear this so often and most reps use it thinking it’s a compliment.

Let's make a deal - I will call you Account Exec instead of sales rep and you never ever refer to me as "here to answer the technical stuff" or "the brains behind the operation" ever again.
