Would you/Have you/Do You?

Would you/Have you/Do You ask for a copy of the comp plan in the interview process? I would think you're more likely to get a yes if they ask you to sign a NDA before the interview process starts and you're a late round candidate. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Either they share it of they don’t. IMO it’s more important to talk about they will help you get your OTE than anything else.

I don’t ask for a copy during but pretty sure all companies send it to you when accepting the offer. Or have I been out of the mix for too long?

You definitely should get a copy when you get an offer. I do think asking for a copy during the interview cycle is an interesting idea - and I agree with oldcloser - if you’re going to put in effort to get to an offer, you might want to know if the effort is worthwhile.

Good point! I pinged our recruiter and she said she’s the first interview and explains it to them then. No hard copy though

It really should be discussed pretty early in the process. I don't think there's a need to see a copy of it until things get serious.

Haven’t asked for a copy before bc all my comp plans have been very straightforward and given upon accepting the offer. I don’t see any issue with it tho I think it’s good due diligence

It’s a good idea. Havn’t tried asking for it during the interview but is a must post the interview.
Also, I think if we clear out our expectations and current and then also they go ahead with the rounds of interview, then I think the chance of getting a fair comp is higher.

I think I used “comp plan” too loosely I mean commission structure - quota and percentage you’re making on a closed deal.
