Question for those of you who sell physical product and use a ERP system.
As a sales person, do you have access to your ERP? If yes, do you use it consistently and what for in the main? Or do you work exclusively from an CRM instead?
Our company uses SAP for ERP and Hubspot for CRM and there is chatter about limiting/removing sales access to SAP, I think to reduce costs as in theory the sales team should really need to operate in the ERP, everything should happen in the CRM.
Just wondered if there is common practice elsewhere, in sales i never have not had access to the CRM but my roles have been somewhat unique, especially in previous roles selling customized products where I would do a lot of product/inventory management with/on behalf of my customers.
The goal apparently is to switch quote creation over to HS from SAP which seems ok as long as it works ok.
Interested to see what others think.
