Talk to them. Have a weekly check in to make sure y'all are on the same page via your plan.

Also, try to shadow some calls with your AE when it fits your schedule. A good AE will continue discovery, so you should be able to pick up some talking points. You can also get a good sense of your AE’s style and preferences by listening.

If you bring good opportunities, good discovery, and are honest about the quality of an opportunity, these are all good ways to create good relationships. Also, asking for feedback is another great way to not only learn, but show that you are invested in ensuring you are delivering at the highest level

Connecting with them, figure out what they are working towards outside of hitting quota. Understand how they like to communicate (slack, email, text, call).

Understand if they like to be updated often or only when a meeting is set.

Give them GREAT notes when you do set something

I'll give you a hack: Time-to-time, step into their shoes and try seeing things from their perspective. Empathize with the facts you notice (stepping into their shoes) during your one-o-ones. Always works like a charm!

Chat with them, but be proactive about your actions and also your meetings with them and what you want to discuss/focus on.

Going off of @SoccerandSales point, when you have a 1 on 1 with your AE(s), always bring something to the table. Show them what you’re working on, who you plan to target, and how you’re driving meetings. Treat it like a partnership, if you’re a decent (x)DR you’re filling their pipelines, and if you talk with them about who they would want to have a meeting with, I’m sure that it would be appreciated

Simple - don’t be a robot. Connect with them often. Try to get on a call with them that will help you ask more questions and take the conversational level up. Try to know more about he product, process, best practices they follow and any feedback/recommendations they can give you.

Ask them what they look for in a SDR. Treat their territory as if it were yours. Do your research and don’t just go through the motions when prospecting. Have a recurring weekly or bi-weekly 1x1 with them to hear feedback about the meetings you set and if there’s anything you can improve on.

Communication and trust. As long as the AE understands that, you are going to work towards the same goal.
