Best selling method

What do you guy consider a good selling method to learn for someone who is 10 months into BDR role? I heard SPIN is good. I’m trying to get promoted to AE this year

Learn a lot of different styles. Do not just sell with one style. Take the best of each and make your own style. Most companies that I have been with that try to push one single style like spin or challenger, end up shitting the bed pretty bad. Top sellers take the best of a bunch and make their own way. I like to be myself and authentic but also super helpful to clients. You can move deals around a bit but most buyers have an internal timeline and process for purchasing. Typically if you try to push them around or challenge their buying process you can lose trust and sales fast.

What the beast said. As much tech as we have in our daily toolbox, it still takes a helpful human.

And don't sleep on GAP Selling. It's one you should definitely work into your repertoire.

i agree with this overall but with the experience being 10 months, I would suggest picking one to start with and really digging in. Then over time explore others. but there is alot of value of developing a process that you follow and can replicate. And having one process you follow will help that process along faster.

If i had to pick I would suggest Gap Selling.

Don’t worry about the method as much as others have said. Go find the best rep in the segment you want to promote into. Tell them you’ll buy them coffee once every few weeks or so, all you’re asking is for time to review what you’ve been working on to make sure you’ll be a good AE when the time comes and get their opinion if you are focusing on the right things.

If you play this right, you’ll be able to get valuable mentorship and have someone in your corner when you interview.

If you already are working with a good AE, you can do the same thing with them. I only stress the most consistent top performer because having exposure with them is good and as your name circulates they’ll take you seriously if their best take you seriously.

the best one is the one that works, be flexible since some companies are incredibly anal about using their preferred methodology but challenger, spin, meddic, sandler, etc all do work but you actually have to do them if you dont do it properly it doesnt work

The one that gets them to sign. Sounds sarcastic but I promise it isn't

I’d put in 6hrs a day for that base tops. Sounds like a lot of upside if you’re selling though! Big numbers on the take home so that’s good

SPIN is foundational and solid. Who is your target audience/decision maker?

If your looking to get promoted, never allow yourself to get comfortable. Always be learning and improving. Have objectives and create steps to achieve these goals. Look at what it takes to be an AE, pick the brains and ask question of individuals who are in those roles and don't copy them be better then them.
