I have never trusted any buyer intent tool or platform, whether it be ZoomInfo, Slintel, or LI Sales Nav.

The best predictors are RFPs and human conversations with key decision makers at a company through good old fashioned prospecting.

Apollo has it too. It’s never added up to anything for me.

LI breaks it down by “searched company page” and “searched employees” … I think they have to be saved as leads.

I feel like there is something here…I’m just not sure what yet

It's also likely creating false positives by picking up job seekers and recruiters looking to poach. That's the filtering I'd do based on ICP/persona to get to true "intent".

Negative. I've seen some lead-enriching tools show you what content they're reading up on but that doesn't tell me if they're in the market for a solution.

I have not, but I do have access to Sales Nav via my org (AM now so don't outright prospect like I used to) but it sounds like a great idea if it works.

You don’t really know who, but you can deduce.

What is it?

In LinkedIn Sales Navigator, there’s a Buy Intent page, it show companies that have engaged with your company LI page or employee profiles on LI. It gives them a ranking of High, Medium or Low. Ex. If an employee at a prospect company is on your companies LI page 3 times in a day and researches a couple of your colleagues, that would indicate high buyer intent.

Interesting. I wonder how accurate it is?

Or it indicates that someone wants to sell your company something.

It sounds like a nice metric if you can combine it with something else.

I'll have to check that out. I wasn't aware that existed. We have 6sense as well. Usually 6sense tells me there's buyer intent when I'm in contract with a company...so it's accurate. :)

I just looked. A company I’m in active contract negotiations with has negative intent. Maybe because they are no longer looking? 🤷‍♀️

Nope, but I overheard of it,I believe it detects the consumer's likelihood to buy a product or service from a specific company and also helps you reach out to the right people in the right accounts!

Never seen those tools come through unless you’re selling to industries that publicly go to market via RFP. Government, education, etc.

I used to sell buyer intent data at a demand Gen company…I’m not saying it’s useless but…it’s close.

No, LI buyer intent is trash. Just tell me who it was that was on my company page, LI!
