Education reimbursement budget

How do you guys use your education reimbursement perk?
My company has ~$5k per year and looking to make use of it sooner than later (heard a rumor that it might be going away). Any recommendations?

Look into coaching and books. Most managers do not really know what good coaching looks like.

I enrolled in a course with a 2k rebate. The course costs 4k and the company fully reimbursed, so I got to keep the money.

I went and got an MBA. Not for everyone, but I enjoyed it and learned a lot, especially since my bachelors degree is more technical and not business based.

I often advise kids - technical undergrad, MBA is a great way to go. If you're smart, it sets you up for life.

I have a "personal development" budget that is a certain % of your salary. $5k is a solid number!!!

courses, books, memberships, most common options.

you can always go the: buy course, get reimbursed, cancel course get money back, route

I would think of Digital marketing or even MBA or anything else that would strengthen your sales weakness points within budget!

I heard about buying books and once you read them, you can re-sell them so you can get the knowledge and the money :D
