FANG HR is slacking off

I've been offered a role at a FANG company and I'm going through the process of signing the contracts, onboarding etc.

It's just been a frustrating process to get things done with the internal recruiter. The first contract they sent me is incorrect so they said they're gonna send another one. This was a week ago and the new one still hasn't been sent out. I spoke with their internal recruiter again yesterday and they said he would make sure it'd be sent out tonight, which did not happen.

I just want to get this done to resign with my current company. I find myself going into my email and refreshing the inbox every 30 mins to see if their contract has come through.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Seems odd for a FANG but we are human and no one is perfect. I'd reach out again.

I once got a contract who had my name misspelled, and it did take about a week to come back just to have another (new) spelling mistakes.

The third time was the charm at least. The HR manager did not have the best English and apparently didn’t “double  check” - his own words.

This was a minor red flag for me, but the company did turn out to be great, no it wasn’t perfect; but no company is.

That being said I would push again tomorrow just to make sure. Sometimes this things take a lot more time than they should, specially on big companies that have their hands full.

Yeah I should follow up again. I just didn’t want to send them an email/ call them every day. It’s disappointing that they don’t understand how hard job searching and getting an offer is hard enough. They should be more on top of this I think

For sure, but reaching out shows you are interested and commited. It is a pain, I agree but it's one of the things we deal with. When ever you start your own business you can be part of the change! That's how I like to see it.

Not the biggest deal IMO, HR is a pain in the ass and they probably are doing a bunch of onboarding

Call me what you want, just sign the damn contract
Have you talked to the hiring manager? That's the person who actually cares.

I’m going to call the HM this afternoon if they don’t send the contract out by then. Good idea thanks

TIL what FANG stands for. I'd give them some grace given the turbulence in the talent pools they are likely facing internally (hot girl quit your job summer)...but 48 hours is my limit for screw-ups like this. After that, I press hard and even follow up with other people in the interview cycle.
