Favorite Sales Mentors

Looking for advice on YOUR favorite sales mentors and why? My 3 personal favorites are Grant Cardone, Andy Elliot and the classic Jordan Belfort. I have sold mostly insurance and some door-knocking, pavement pounding B2B, but feel there are some other great ones out there that I am missing. Just joined the community and curious on how long I have been missing out on a group like this.

I’m going to ignore your question, and steer your WR participation instead. The goal being a better community experience for all of us.

1st- leave immediately and come back using the anon profile. You never know who is lurking. After that, use the search bar to answer your questions until you’re at least relatively sure the topic, or your spin on it, adds value. Sales mentors as a topic has been beaten to death. You’ll find what you need there.

Keep it real in here. No LinkedIn personal brand building bullshit is ever tolerated. Welcome to the War Room.

I think you should absolutely follow every single sales “influencer” you can find. Especially those on LinkedIn. Every single self-proclaimed sales influencer is totally worth following. No doubt in my mind.

When I think of a mentor I think of a personal relationship. Someone who I can have regular conversations with regarding feedback, bounce ideas off of, and someone who I trust outside of my professional life. I’m not sure if a LinkedIn influencer would qualify.

I think the issue with your list is that they're all grifters.

Hey Isaiah, great question and welcome to the WAR ROOM.

A simply put question is always appreciated by all here so Kudos to you for that.!

As a sales leader, you can think of War Room as the HUB for sales savages. If you have any burning questions, hit the search bar at the top. There's a chance it has already been answered.

You might also wanna keep your eyeballs on the latest posts and threads. Some of them can, absolutely, give you visibility over the "current pulse" of what's happening in sales departments/org out there in the world.

Coming to answer your question, there would be NO RIGHT answer. Sales is super dynamic. So some suggestions from someone might work for you and sometime it wont. The best way to learn here is to fail. Follow whomever, resonates with you and gets you results!!

Also, the best way to utilize the War Room - you learn some, and you give back some!

Bravado wants every salesperson to become the best in the business, and the only way that will eventually happen is through you. We're just enabling it to happen. ;)

Once again, welcome to the War Room, Isaiah! While at it, why not to go anonymous? You’ll get more insights that way! Hope this helps.

Andy Elliot has to be the worst sales people (I wont even use the term 'sales professional' in his case). I've ever seen.

The dude is the epitome of why people hate salesmen. He's a grifter, conning people out of money, so he can teach you how to bully potential customers until you lose the deal with the added bonus of coming off as a douche. The first time I saw one of his videos, I GENUINELY thought it was some sort of comedy bit.
