Gifting SE's/Managers/CSMs

If you were to close a deal that would net you a $20k commission check, that was heavily influenced by your teammates/manager... what would a suitable gift be for them?

Obviously it's everyone's job to close business, but a situation like this is a bit unique in my position.

How well do you know them? Like all gifts better to give them something thoughtful.

Other than that, if I know they like wine or booze, I will get them a nice bottle. If I get along with them and they live close, I will take them out to a nice lunch/dinner/hh depending on their preference.

If I don't really know them and they live in a different city I send a gift card to a restaurant they like. I will slack them "I am actually going to be in the area for a wedding. Any nice restaurants you recommend?" Then where every they say, I get them a gift card so there is a little more thought than Amazon.

I usually do just do this for SEs

Did this a few times. One SE I bought a gift certificate for a swanky restaurant for him and his wife. Another I bought a longboard since I knew he was into it.

I dunno. Our team chips in to buy a giftcard of whatever our boss is into at the time. It's usually scotch.

$500 Gift card to somewhere (if it's just one person you're talking about). If multiple, maybe $100 each?

I like to stick to gift card but again depends upon the interest and the season :)

Let them buy what they want from their favourite store without paying :)

If you can’t be clever or you’re running out of time, gift cards are always welcome! Nice of you to think of your team.

Lots of great ideas here about gifts, so I would just add one completely different thing: on top of any gifts you give them, make sure you are also maximizing internal recognition.

Call them out in the win wire, give them a kudos in whatever platform you have, post a great note, send an email to their boss with how they were key, etc. People appreciate a gift, and people also appreciate great publicity.

Sales Managers often assist AEs in closing sales (sitting in on demos, providing support in pricing calls etc). What can SDR Managers do to provide similar support?
