How are you getting more connects on cold calling?

I don't manage the SDR team directly but I get this question from most of sdrs. How to get more connects? What time should we dial?

Right now, the team avarage connect is 4%

I'd like to know from sdrs and AEs who make cold calls. Any suggestions??

There's been several discussions where people have had success with the 7-8 am and 5-6 pm hours. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I've heard about 5-6. Don't you think 7-8 is too early

What tools are you using to confirm you calling the right numbers? Are you calling the directory and getting forward to them? Are you just calling C-suite or are you doing a bottom up approach too?

Also, you can try to incorporate calling cell phones too.

We are calling c-suite on cell phones & direct office numbers.

Use zoom info to fetch the contact details

Are there any other actions taken once the SDRs are not able to connect e.g. calling the reception and having the call transfer to see the prospect picked up (apart from calling direct no./Cell phones). Also, I use to send a quick short email letting the prospect know that it was me and if s/he can call back. Not all but some might call back.

This is nice touch via email... Never thought of doing it like that. Will try!

If you use Outreach (and I'm guessing other tools have this like Groove and Yesware), look at the call time report to see the days and times that have the highest connect rate. Don't call when management has the bulk of their meetings. Call before and after (8-9:30, 3:30-5). I rarely have meetings during this time and most people are the same way. My team almost doubled their connect rates when they moved to early morning and late afternoon calling

When I say they doubled their rates, our rates were so low that doubling wasn't difficult. We were around 2-3%

Using an opening message with permission and relevance is the strongest way to have a conversation.

Per your actual question, it depends on industry of when people are busiest.

Zoominfo will have personal cell #'s a lot of the time. I've seen good success with our reps using their information.

Mobile/direct numbers are more important than ever given the amount of people that still work from home a fair bit. You need to make sure your sources are good, ZI tends to be the best though quite expensive.

We're using ZI and call direct/ mobile only. But timing is off... we call morning (8-9:30) and post lunch
