How many all hands calls does your company have every week?

I feel that my company must be obsessed with all hands calls. When I say all hands I mean in our specific industry (hospitality). We have one on Tuesday, one of Thursday and then a bi-weekly one on Friday. Just seems a bit much if they want us to actively be selling

That's a lot. We do a small one once a month and a larger one once a quarter

We have a US meeting 1x per week on Mondays and a global meeting on Fridays.  Both are well organized and only take about 20 mins.

My first job out of school was in staffing and this firm insisted on doing absurd meetings called "Redzones" where the whole office got together at the start of each day and mid afternoon to discuss progress on the positions recruiters were working on.  Both of these meetings would take about 45 mins to 1 hour which absolutely destroyed productivity.

We have one first thing on Monday to set the stage for the week then one at the end of the week on Friday to review what we accomplished. Feels like the right balance.

We have one like once a quarter. Sounds like you sit through a lot of all hands meetings that should be a short email

Agreed. We go through the largest wins of the past week in our local offices and channel. I slightly understand it since there’s a group of us 300 strong and we’re all over the US...still excessive though.

There is usually one a quarter, however, I swear we have so many teams that when they all put all hands on the calendar its like 3-4 a quarter

We're less than 20 folks in total now and we have a weekly all hands which I think is beneficial for me. I know what the product team's working on, ETA on stuff, flag issues, etc easily.

That makes a ton of sense for a organization of that size IMO. For some color I’m at a Forbes 500 and my holistic team has about 300-400 people.

We do a team call for 30 mins every Monday.   Any more than that is a waste of time.

On a side note, Andrew Cuomo is getting ready to release his second book, funny enough it's also called 'All Hands'  looking to go back to back on the Emmy's I guess....

we have 1/week and that feels like a lot, I'd think 1 or 2 / month is the sweet spot

Once every two weeks. It used to be an hour every week but then they've realized it leads nowhere.

Wow, that is a lot.  Once a month or once a quarter or both is more the norm.

Once a month at the most. All hands calls 2-3x a week seems like overkill
