I had a friend (CPA with little sales experience) Share a message from a recruiter who reached out to him.
To be honest, the message had me feeling like maybe it would be a bit over my head but I want to make a transition job wise and want to do well.
I have a 20 min call with them soon and I expect it to be more about generalities. They never asked for my resume or anything.
Here is the message about what they are looking for. Am I right that this is not an entry level sort of position? What would you prepare to share? I have opinions based on what I have seen work and not work, the books I read regularly, etc but not a direct experience in this sort of position.
Please ACCEPT or DECLINE my message so I know whether to continue to follow up or not. My client is a tax consulting firm seeking a Sales Director, responsible for ensuring individual and department sales goals are achieved. The company is gaining market share and needs someone comfortable with a fast pace environment and selling consulting services. The Director will work closely with department leaders to build out trainings, sales campaigns and help the BD team improve their skillset. This company has around 100 employees, remote flexibility and a strong compensation offering. Work-life balance is different because the owners have an open-door policy and encourage you to be an independent thinker. If you have not worked with a search firm before, please note your response is confidential and will not be shared without your permission. Please reply with a phone number & proposed time to schedule a call to discuss further. Or let me know if you know someone who might be interested.
Best,
