Is it time to leave??

I've been at my current company for 2.5 years and last year they moved me into an Enterprise role, with a $2M quota that was completely unsubstantiated with 2 existing customers in territory.

I pulled out 16 logos and 750k without a ramp. 2nd best performer on the team.

Product is being pulled in 2 directions and everytime I get near a $150k+ transaction our product is missing a key component, that won't be built until at least late 2024.

This year they lowered my quota to 1.8M, on a 225k OTE and just recently pulled conference budgets, removed the CSMs, and gave me 1M in renewals that are not reflected in my quota. I see no way to get near my number, and don't really want to start doing the CSM role on top of being an AE, is it time to leave?

What do you guys think?

Dog you are painting a picture of a sinking ship. You’re on the goddamn titanic.

Get the fuck outta there asap, you’re a clear high performer, you have good skills, get out before you get burned

Unfortunate truth.

Usually, when you're asking the question you know the answer. This one is (cock)slapping you in the face with reality.

Didn’t even read it. But if you’re asking abt it, you’re just asking for confirmation to do it.

Bingo, and given that it is SLED makes it worse given RFPs and procurement processes. Some of those almost closed $150k deals could genuinely take another 18 months given actually implementing the update then going through government budgets/timelines.

Yes, 360k OTE though. You should see 20% of the sales you are making all in

Yeah you know you gotta get out of that dumpster fire. Find another gig while you’ve still got this one, but run don’t walk out when you find something.

Seen this shit happen in real time like so many others. I was dumb enough to stay. You’re smart. Get out.

As others have said, start looking. Don’t leave until you have the new job in hand. Best of luck!

I’d start looking out, I were you.

If you were a great performer but the company isn’t LETTING you perform, then it’s on them. Screw em. Save yourself.

Excuse you sir? You have a $225k OTE on TWO MILLION DOLLAR target?

Get the f**k out and whilst you’re leaving smack your VP, CRO and CEO in the face

you should ALWAYS have a foot out the door and be looking, but in your case I'd have a foot and a half out and ready to walk.
