Is market saturation is a real thing?

How do you guys sell in the saturated market?

Sometimes prospects got burnt in the past by the other vendors and they don't believe in your services anymore.

How do you handle these type of situation?

Based on what I read here, this doesn't sound as much like market saturation (where everyone has a solution and it's working for them) but more like companies have decided they don't need what you're selling, based on a bad experience with a prior vendor.

In this case, you're in a position of having to reassure them that your solution will work well and provide benefits to them (your value prop). SoccerandSales mentioned reference clients - those are great to bring into a conversation and use as a touchpoint for successful customers and why your prospect should realize you have a good solution.

Yup, market saturation is real but doesn't seem like that's what he's talking about.

Reference clients are huge with this, especially if you can match a prospect up with someone who went through the same thing. For example, x practice also left x vendor for us and have had great results doing so.

yes its totally a real thing. think of the CRM space. there are soooo many out there now. but they all compete for the orgs that Hubspot and SFDC dont get.

If a prospect tells you this, dig in. try to understand exactly what happened. then explain how your different.

if this is something you are ASSSUMING, let them know.

"tammy it sounds like you may have had a really bad experience with a competitor in the past, am I right about that?"
