Is there still roles/companies that cap commissions? I feel like mentioning a sales job feature as “uncapped commission” is not as salient these days. Thoughts?

It’s a meaningless claim, right there with unlimited PTO.

Haven’t seen any capped commissions in my job search. Doing so would put the company at a disadvantage from the start

Commission is almost always capped either overtly or covertly. And when it’s not, if someone figures out, or is able to, how to blow out their quota and make the fat paycheck, the comp plan gets changed so that it doesn’t happen again.

I can't remember the last time I saw capped commissions. It seems like it exists solely for companies to boast about their uncapped commission, which seems the obvious logical way to go.
'Oh, you sold too much and made us too much money, so we're goiing to stop paying you and totally remove your incentive to work.'
