They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
Its 98% driven by $$ and 2% by people virtual signaling.  If Corp America thought waving that rainbow flag would cost them even a $1, they would pull it down and burn it.

You don't see them changing logos for national ice cream month in July do you?  How about national bourbon heritage month in Sept?  Or how about a giant nipple for national breast cancer awareness month in Oct?

it's 100% pandering to earn more money. and them knowing they will get destroyed by the woke crowd if they don't do it

hahah yes it is always annoying to see companies who have not posted about, cared about or supported ANY LGBTQIA+ causes, change their logo like this. 🤦‍♂️

Don't have to be cynical. It's pride month so companies change to show support and raise awareness.

Of course. I’m pro lgbtq+ rights, but much of the corporate advocacy is PR and pandering more than actual human compassion.

That's a broad statement.

What would you suggest?

The fact that these companies don't change their logos in their locations in the middle east for one.

The truth is, companies care about profit, if it weren't motivated by profit they would be consistent across all locations with things like this.

Being consistent in their advocacy for human rights. Donating/working with outreach centers.

I think this goes beyond pride month and works with any kind of overlap between corporate and social responsibility.

If you only show that you care when people are looking, that’s why you’re doing it. If you’re consistent in your community work (regardless of the topic) then it’s an actual core value.
