It's the end of the year, those hard fought wins are finally rolling in and you can smell that cold hard cash just a few weeks outside of your grasp.

The next challenge is upon us, 2024. start at zero. For whatever sick reason we dive headfirst again into this sick obsession we call a job.

Now for me, I'm bout to ask for a raise, a substantial one at that. I stepped into a stretch role last January transitioning from MM to a newly established ENT market we've been focused on all year. This year was a fucking test, but I brought in the some record numbers and earned my seat in that role permanently.

I need to lean on my fellow canucks and get some numbers put together for my proposal.

What are folks in Canada seeing on average for Base Salary for ENT reps?

I want to propose a fair number here but I know I'm underpaid for the level of clients I'm dealing with ($150k to $1M+).

I think a lot of that really depends on where he's at currently. Comp is so all over the place up here.
We definitely don't see the wild numbers you yanks do, or it's at least extremely rare.

Unfortunately most of what I've seen (though admittedly I've been focusing on my wife and baby) have just been all over the map.
Can't remember the last time I saw anything like a $400K+ 50/50 split

I wouldn’t even be coming close to that. Likely $200K at a 50/50 split with some additional equity

That's wholly reasonable. I saw you say something about $100K, and wasn't sure if you meant that as the raise and I was concerned.
$200K @ 50/50 is solid as hell and something you should push for.
What are you at now?

1) Based on the research I’ve been doing I think $100k would be a fair number to propose.

2) That’s a fair suggestion. In my case I brought in almost 2.5x my target they set for me. The point of more base is to future proof in between deal cycles. My avg cycle time is 9-18 months right now. I went a full 8 months this year without commission payouts

Done a ton of research on RepVue, several recruiting agencies (ie: Betts Recruiting) but the info out there is very limited for Canada. Tom’s of data for US jobs/ companies. But like @jefe said, the salary and OTE numbers are worlds apart from what is normal in the US.

Trying to get reliable and consistent salary data for Canada has proven relatively difficult, enough that I went on a 3-4 interviewing spree to find what I could get outside of my company.
