Job market recovery, yet???

For warriors who are US based, how´s the job market down there? Here in Europe it seems like we are getting the layoff season that you were having starting from Jan 2023.

Typically whatever your condition is, we re-live it in 3-6months so is the market recovering on your end or how does it look like?

Anecdotal: seeing more recruiters reach out after ~ 2 mos of nothing. Good offers, too. The optimist in me wants to think that’s an indicator of slight improvement.

I’m going to agree. I’m getting my first looks at decent ops in a couple years.

Horrible. I got whacked last week for the 2nd time this year, and my prospects for the next landing spot are virtually nonexistent.

Ironically this is the same response you get to job applications.

It's rough, very rough, hopefully, it starts to recover in the next few weeks though.

It's hard to say. Summer is not a good time to gauge how the job market is doing. Some companies put hiring on hold, or at least de-prioritize it because of vacations, or people being out of office, etc. The recruiter might be out one week, then the hiring manager the next, and by the time both are back in office, they're dealing with whatever work piled up while they were out, etc. September is probably when we'll know for sure where the job market is.

Gotten a few interviews that are below my current base. May pickup the bravado flex option and update you all on whether it's a good gig or a waste of time.
Fortunately I still have my contract AE role, but I'm actively interviewing still since no one on my team is hitting quota. Overall I've gotten very few responses from my applications, but the optimist in me thinks things will slowly begin to improve.

I don't think it's layoff season in Europe... Hiring freeze continues but most places I know finished with mass layoffs now.

It's looking up with respect to hiring I guess but too soon to say.
Closures are still tough.
