Looking to break into the Tech Sales world.

Accomplished Salesman, Administrator and educator. I have sold in many different sectors ranging from Finance, Private Education, Medical Sales and Recreation/Medicinal Cannabis. I am looking into taking my skill set into Tech. Any advice other than taking a Tech Sales Course?

Not sure how being an Admissions Director translates to Sales, but good luck in your search.

Hi George, you've posted the same paragraph three times now. Can you expand on your skill set and why you think it might translate into tech sales? That might help you get more specific recommendations.
Also - this is an advice forum; hiring does not happen from this forum, but we can provide some insight and suggestions. You've gotten a couple suggestions already.

You can also post a redacted version of your resume if you'd like some comments regarding format, how to position your accomplishments, etc.

Finally, Bravado Flex has just gone live. You might want to check that out and see if anything surfaces for you.

Tech isn't any different than any of these other spaces that you've been in. Can you learn a product, communicate effectively, follow internal processes, build relationships with prospects, and adhere to a sales methodology? If yes, then you're probably fine.
Recruiters might give you a hard time for not having tech experience, but emphasize the points stated above, and let them know you're a fast learner, and do some research on their product before an interview.

I'd lean away from the admin/educator part, and focus solely on your sales experience. Maybe throw in "I managed 35, 9 year-olds in a classroom every day. Selling is easy in comparison."

there is actually quite few companies that organised bootcamps and preps for SaaS sellers, that you would familiarize yourself more with the concept and nail interviews as well... maybe start connecting with SDRs on Linkedin, ask them questions how did they get there, surely they will help!
