Masked up meetings

Howdy all,

I have a few tradeshows coming up and it's looking like masks are going to be mandatory (I'm still holding out hope for vaccines being required and then we can skip masks). Has anybody successfully done any mask on meetings? If so, any tips y'all can provide? I can barely understand what friends I've known for 10+ years are saying with masks on so I'm dreading the new people + loud conference hall combo.

Thanks!

I’ve had many masked up meetings in conference rooms. My only advice is make sure everyone else in the room is comfortable. Don’t sit too close to anybody (leave a chair or two in between if possible) and don’t initiate a handshake. If somebody else does and you’re comfortable with it, then go for the shake.

Actually there’s no problem with it, only thing is that it’s hard to see impressions but otherwise it’s not a problem 😊

Agree with swizard. Everything that keeps you and people around you safe, go for it.

Look the problem i have with masks only is that everyone needs tk raise their voice. Your normal voice is much much quieter with the mask on you sound like you are mumbling.
Have water and warm drinks to sooth your throat because it will be tricky.

Pretty good time to take notes.

Agreed. Follow the room. Use your eyes to smile and guide the listener.
