Outbound vs Inbound: AE pov

In my company, outbound leads are performing better than inbound.

I've been handling both from last 1.5 years and my inbound AE is not satisfied with the leads.

Because we have almost no control over inbound leads as it is mostly organic but we get 12-15 meetings and 3-4 closures from inbound.

If you are an AE, How's your experience with inbound and outbound?

I do the prospecting. On the rare occasion a SDR sends me a lead it's really not qualified anyway.

It happens with me as well...most of the SDR don't qualify the leads buy I've trained my sdrs to qualify the leads by asking questions

When you say organic, how do they come to you - Google, webinars, reference etc. I would be more interested to know that. For outbound - do you mean more people buy or ticket size is better?

Google and reference 80/20

From outbound 9/10 leads buy and ticket size is almost similar to inbound

I guess weโ€™ve been pretty fortunate that our inbounds are generally good ones.

im an ENT AE and most of the leads right now are inbound. which is a very recent change.

but the inbound leads are still mostly coming from the CEO and CCO's connection in the industry. so the number is low but the close rate is high.

i have seen in my career that inbound leads tend to be smaller, and outbound can be larger. I would rather be speaking to people who WANT to talk to me so having inbound is always ideal.

My experience with inbound is usually inbound leads are a lot easier to win as in the company/industry I am in, they have done a lot of research or are coming by recommendation. Outbound is still where the majority come but inbound is almost always a quicker sale.

We see just the opposite: Inbound > Outbound.
