Real Estate Breaking Into Remote Sales

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to join the Bravado community and am looking for some guidance on breaking into the world of remote sales. I'm a quick learner with a high level of energy, and am eager to get my feet wet in this field.

I have some previous experience in sales, having been on the #10 team in the world for Century 21 and selling 26 properties totaling $7 million in volume. I also have experience in the financial markets and have done some fix and flips, so I have a strong foundation in building relationships and persuading others.

I'm hoping to find some advice from the experienced professionals on this network on how to get started in remote sales. If anyone has any tips or leads on companies that are hiring, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for any help!

I think it looks pretty solid. Major in Finance, minor in Accounting from Clemson. Good experience since being out, but I do lack actual experience in this field. Would be happy to send it over if you have any interest.

Just make sure it's focused on quantifiable metrics and results not job descriptions.

Isn't selling real estate mostly remote? Or at least minimally in an office? And with you having had some success, I would ask "why" you're looking to change things up.

When I was doing real estate as an agent, I was mostly working as a buyers agent, which means that I was setting up showings and running around town all day, with no real set schedule. I understand that not all schedules are stuck to and things change, but at the same time it seems that with online sales appointments are set in a more conventional fashion.

Donโ€™t get me wrong, it was good money, but it affected my quality of life so I donโ€™t want to do that anymore.

That seems reasonable.
Best thing to do is start applying for "regional" sales jobs or other sales jobs with a large geographic territory. Those are generally the remote jobs.

congrats on the previous success, remote just allows you to expand your reach. might be worth looking at AI and tech in those industries that you already know

When you say remote sales, are you looking at any specific industry ?

To be honest, Iโ€™m not partial to any specific industry. However, I have looking what appears to be marketing sales (high ticket sales) for helping clients gain online exposure. That looks cool, but willing to head into anything

When you say remote sales, do you mean tech sales?

I would say so. That would be my emphasis area that I would like to hone in on, but as a guy that lacks experience in the field. Iโ€™m going to try to grab what I can get, within reason of course.

remote sales - but what industry?

From what I have found so far, I would love to get involved in a closer role. As far as those go, I really am only finding stuff where Id be selling life coachcourses and also selling services to clients that need more online exposure.

Now I could be looking in the wrong places, but thats what Ive seen so far. Obviously there are other roles with longer sales cycles that would probably be more attractive, but got to get my foot in the door where I can.
