Agreed. I’m in ad sales and this what we call branding ads vs response ads. No call to action is branding, which work fine if you eventually make a call to action through a longer nurture campaign.

how do you end your emails?

I usually just have "Would you be opposed to learn more?" or "Thoughts?"

Which are sort of a CTA but not asking for the meeting per se

Why even fucking bother. If you solve their pains and clearly state , why not let them decide.

Do you not trust your prospects to book the fucking time? If you can’t get them to do that how could they even get a contract over the finish line.

So alpha. Much baller.

If it floats your boat and actually works - great. If not, then how you feel about it doesn’t really matter.

The cta was a useless set of words. Just by me sending the email implies I want to meet them. Prospects aren’t dumb anymore. I stopped wasting the space and let them come to me.

Ok, by asking for time you are removing the step of trying to go back and forth to coordinate calendars, placing a calendly link in email is a CTA as well. just saying, but sure be aggressive with "what kind of Question is this." Good luck against Michigan next year...

...and also serious note: yes you are correct. But its more meta than that. I want to give my prospect time to think. time to consider what I am saying. I don't want anything to be a con. Just me solving their pains. They can come to it if they want.

"Oh, they must not be responding because I didn't put a CTA" .... has that ever been a reason they didn't hop in the funnel...??

If I have what they want, they will come to me.

According to Lavender "

1. Asking for time decreases replies by 50% - Instead of asking for a meeting or using a link make your email easy to respond to and start a conversation. Once you have interest it's much easier to get that person to book a meeting."

love this. I stopped asking for time. I just end with an interest CTA.

Did you have to go cold turkey on it though? Couldn't you have dialed it back some to just something like "could we connect on this?" instead of just throwing the CTA baby out with the bath water????

At least you're honest and authentic though... I don't actually hate this approach but I also don't love it... Lot of buyers out there are arrogant and might actually be weirdly offended that you DIDN'T include a cta... haha

I think you need to do both. Go ahead and send out your call to action emails but follow up. Emails are often looked at as something coming from a "nameless, faceless being". A voice makes your interaction human. It's much harder to hang up on a person than to simply delete an email. Just my opinion.

This won’t end well for you. You need a “learn more here” with a link, or “reach out to schedule some time to discuss” otherwise it is just spam. I’d like to hear how many of your emails get caught in spam filters compared to before.
