How do you deal with the pipeline drying up and getting unlucky with big deals that go south at the last minute?

The journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step. Sales is the same way. When a door closes, another will open - you just need to look for it.

The great thing about Sales is that its 100% YOU. Success/Failure is all you. The roller coaster can suck, but its the highs which propel you through the lows.

Good luck in Selling!

Ah, this is the life in sales. The highs are very high, and the lows are super low. And there's a good deal of your time that is just a grind.

Sales is cyclical. All of this is going to happen. The best thing to do short term is take breaks, focus on small wins (which can mean just getting the CRM all the way updated) and keep at it. Long term, remind yourself that sales is cyclical, hard work does pay off, and that the next big deal is around the corner.

Take a breath, don't push yourself above normal as long as you've done what was supposed to be done, when free try to think if there were any common errors happened for those leads you lost and try to overcome them.
And finally if possible try to have shadowing sessions with colleagues who're meeting their targets and focus on their points of strength.

I used to stress out and get myself in a terrible headspace but now I just take things 1 day at a time. There is only so much you can control. Celebrate those things and be ok with not hitting quota. You cant catch em all.

take a minute to reflect to see if there was anything you can learn from the lost deals.

then forget about it and move on to the next one/start building pipe again.

I try to get my universe pretty full. That way I have something to work with. A combination of small volume deals and large opps is more convenient.

Big deals donโ€™t go south at the last minute because youโ€™re unlucky.

Just keep on going.

Take a break and go for a walk, then back at it.
