Previously I posted about accepting a second WFH job to help stack those checks. A dinky little SDR posish at a moderate sized company. Nothing that will take too much work.
Here are some things the recruiter told me because I specifically asked.
- $40,000 base salary + uncapped comissions
- Hours are based off my local TZ 8-5
- Not a micromanaged environment very "west coast culture" whatever the fuck that means.
- "Getting your kids too and from school will be no problem"
Here is what I have learned after day 1
- $40,000 as an hourly wage and if I clock out to take my kids to school it docks that pay.
- Hours are based off my managers TZ so now I am working 9:30 - 6:30.
- Every minute of my day is scheduled by the manager
- "We prefer you get someone else to transport your kids during work hours."
Maybe I have been spoiled my whole career and this is what I get for taking what is clearly the most entry of entry level jobs. Am I a complete pinecone for expecting anything I asked the recruiter about?
I'm obviously gonna keep this shit until I find something better because money is awesome but I want to know what you guys/gals/and thals think.
Edit: Commissions are capped at $6000 a year.
I scheduled another job interview over my lunch tomorrow
