I wrapped up Tech Sales U a few weeks ago. 10/10 recommend! As an added bonus you get to watch & learn from Ross Pomerantz which makes the course hilarious as you go through it. Throughout the course, they show you what to do and what not to on sales calls.
Here's what I did during the course that led me to having multiple interviews immediately upon completion:
- Take notes throughout, lots of golden nuggets throughout the videos / slack challenges
- I watched certain videos multiple times as they pertained to the interview step I was on.
- For example: I watched the offer negotiation / re-read the slack challenge multiple times to make sure my email to the recruiter regarding negotiation was up to Bravado's standards.
- Connect with those on the course via LinkedIn. You never know who could provide a referral for you in the future.
- Use the job tracker (seriously). This was an absolute game-changer for me as it gave me a system that allowed me to follow up with recruiters / managers at the companies which I applied to.
- BE HUNGRY TO LEARN. Don't go in with the mindset that you know all this. It truly seems like the team at Bravado put lots of hours of work into this course, and the video editing / information provided is top notch.
I went from applying to 5-10 jobs a day with no system in place to track my progress to fully understanding that as you're searching for a sales job, you need to already be in the SDR mindset. Treat these companies as prospects, and see if you can close the deal (getting hired). Best of luck and if you’re interested in the course - I'm pretty sure it's free now.
I'm happy to answer any additional questions that someone may have prior to signing up for the course. Feel free to ask away below!
