Verkada - Yay or Nay?

They've hit me up a few times, I've heard mixed reviews on their AE positions in terms of pay, quota and culture. Does anyone have any experience with this company?


Also, it seems like they are always hiring "Associate Account Executives". Sounds like a fancy way to say SDR to me.

we have Associate AE's at my company and they are pretty much SDRs that are allowed to close deals, but still have to support AEs with prospecting.....another barrier to becoming an AE haha!

I had a few SDR joined there for the same position and it’s nothing but more or an SDR. I am not sure if the closing there will add any value to your personal growth.

The company is offering Yeti Tumbler's to see demos and is spending probably upwards of $100,000 per MONTH on Linkedin Recruiting with ads that say "Imagine your career selling security cameras in San Francisco."
The only thing the company has going for it is: weather at the HQs is pretty nice!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! Every person I am able to turn away from that hell hole the closer I get to getting to heaven thru my good deeds. It will be a huge regret.

I’ve heard it’s a strict sales environment, but the reps are making tons of $$$ and it was a fulfilling steppingstone into AI from a former employee that still has connections there.

I get hit up by them almost monthly with offers to work out of their SF HQ even though my LI profile clearly says I live 500 miles away

I too have had the same level of outreach.

Last outreach was the salary of 80s to 160s plus, but they want to pay 70-85k. An instant red flag with your salary offerings.

Maybe if you need a job ASAP do it.
I felt turned off because it's mandatory office 5 days a week. If that doesn't tell you what type of people run the place, I don't know what will.
