Voicemails: What are components of a good Voicemail?

I feel like the point of a good voicemail is to direct focus as an email. I use a similar script that Justin Michael uses.

"Hey {first name}, it's BTQ with {redacted} noticed {relevant trigger event}. I have a SaaS tool do you mind if I tell you a little bit more about it?

We helped {relevant competitor} save 14% revenue per visitor that was leaking out of the marketing funnel. I'll follow up with an email tomorrow and you can let me know if it's relevant or not..."

I don't try and get call backs. But at the end of the voicemail i like to emphasis

"...and I'll continue to reach out until I hear back from you."

Any feedback on this approach?

Everyone has a different opinion, but I like what 30 min to presidents club says

Keep it short use a quick hit why it makes sense to meet

I even say no need to call me back, as I am about to hit send on an email subject line โ€œjust calledโ€

The funny thing is I have got a call back when saying no need to, reverse psychology I guess

I like it! @BTQ Iโ€™m not sure I would appreciate the looming threat of being repeatedly called by anyone. You might wear someone down but they will likely not be interested in a meeting. A waste of your valuable time and theirs most likely. I say this from my personal experience (early on in sales) when I used to try to get a meeting at any cost.

I never dump the pitch in the voicemail, so I'd try to end it with a CTA and not even bother with the "we helped companies save 14% revenue". As a prospect I don't GAF.

I like your approach. Not fishing for a callback, but your threat at the end might push them into one lol
I try to keep my voicemails really short and to the point. My approach is a bit unique since I'm usually calling as a follow up to an in person visit if I didn't end up meeting with the target prospect.
I sell to schools, so it'll usually be something like this:
"Hey {first name}, it's punishedlad with {company}. Stopped by yesterday and dropped off {insert whatever baked good I left behind}, so wanted to make sure you got those.
Seems I have a knack for trying to reach you at the wrong time. I'd love to connect and get your feedback on how we're helping {nearby client, nearby client, and nearby client}. You can reach me at {phone number} or return the email I'm about to send out. Again this is punishedlad with {company}"
I always repeat my name at the end. Idk where I heard it, but my understanding is that's a best practice.

For me i wont tell them "ill continue to reach out untill i hear back".....thats not something that will provoke a positive response from someone.

I think I would stop after your first sentence and then let them know you are about to send them another email.

I try to avoid leaving a voicemail at all costs. Should be a last resort / hail mary, in my opinion.

Funny you say this I felt the same way at first. I had a prospect lay into me once. I called him like 20x over the course of 3 months because I had a referral and he essentially called me a liar because I didnโ€™t leave a single voicemail

I feel like that qualifies as a last resort option at that point though after the 10th attempt especially if itโ€™s a referral.

Also, did you not have any emails you could point to instead?

Be quick and direct and then send a text or email.
"Sorry I missed you. I was called to (set up a meeting, make sure you had no questions about the contract, etc. NEVER JUST CHECKING IN) Don't worry about calling back I'll fire off a quick text too. I know it is easier for me to respond that way when I am busy."

Intro including who you're calling from and some indication of what you do and why it's important, and that you're about to send an email, so watch for that.
Quick and dirty.
Don't be the dude who sent me an email who told me the company he's from, but not what they do (I have no idea) and what the benefit is (also no idea). Getting on a phone to talk about "upcoming projects" doesn't entice me if I have zero idea what projects he has in mind. Though I might get on to ask if they can help with a backsplash project I'm considering in my kitchen.

"Hey customer, I was referred your way regarding XYZ. Had a few questions. My number is 999-999-9999. Thank you."

Having a name of someone else (gate keeper, etc) at the same company can usually help get a call back.

This has been successful for me.

Put yourself in their shoes. What would prompt YOU to call someone back who just cold called you? Name dropping is always good. Mentioning results is good.

I nearly always call as high up as I can and then when I get relegated to a lower level I can leverage the higher ups name in my calls. Works for me.
