VOIP suggestions

Hey you guys,
I'm planning to make lots of prospecting calls all throughout Canada (my country) and I was wondering a few things.

Should I get a phone number for every state I plan to call?

Would you answer a prospecting call if it came from an unknown, out of state number?

I used 3CX in the past, combined with Skyetel and that worked for a bit until they changed their pricing recently. Is there any other voip providers you'd recommend for my use case? What do you use?

You guys have the best advices ever, so thanks already.

Would you answer the phone if the call

I never pick up from my area code. There are no tech companies in my home state so I know it’s either a cable scam or a localization tool.

I don't answer the phone regardless. I read voicemails.

Same as I, on the personal level but on the business level, I answer every call or rather I should

I usually answer the phone, it could be money for me, but rarely give the time of day to whomever is on the other end.

I’m localized to my region for sales so if I see an area code near me I answer because it could be a customer

Wow! Awesome. I was concerned about this, but thank you. I feel a lot more confident now

But I also have to pick up the phone lol, not everyone does. Most people in general these days are wary of numbers they don’t know regardless of area code.

Same as me. I rarely answer my personal line unless the number is registered or they leave a voicemail. But if I was running a business (which I will be) I’d answer every call, as it might a customer.

In my opinion every call is a prospect, so why limit yourself to a potential sale.

But if you see that their is an area in your country where the calls are not giving the result you are seeking then I would isolate the calls from that area like PBC does.

PBC knows the state layout, so since your going for the gusto you must understand the tech landscape of your country.

You might want to ask yourself, What state in my country has the most tech companies and which ones don't?Never limit yourself because your industry quotas are way too up there.

This is just my opinion take or leave it. All the best.

You’re absolutely right! I have a lot of limiting beliefs to kickoff. A lot less now that I’m part of this community. You guys are all awesome. Thanks a bunch

I always pick up the phone bc I’m in sales. Idk if it’s a prospect calling me back or not. That’s only if I’m calling using my cell phone. When I use diapers I switch between localized numbers and using an area code from my home city.

I don't answer the phone, no matter where it appears to come from.

I don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t recognize as a general rule.

That said, I hate it when people spoof my area code to make me think they are local to me. Starting a relationship off with a lie is not a good thing.

I’m currently selling product analytics and session replay SaaS as an SMB AE and I’m trying to make the move to selling cloud SaaS at either google, AWS, or snowflake. Is there anyone in the bravado community that works at those co’s or has connections at those co’s that would be open2networking?
