WFH or WFO

For people who're working from home currently or used to,could you tell us which environment you found better in terms of sales?

In another words being encouraged or may be pushed by your manager or probably your senior team member is helping you out with achieving your target easily or WFH is getting you to do better without that kind of pressure, if I would to consider which option that could be better for me in the future?

Answering this requires honesty with yourself. If you find comfort at home and can execute at a high level, work from home.

If you’re young in your sales career you don’t know anything, why would you opt to work from home with limited experience and shut the door on access to mentorship?

I’ve been working from home for a long time, and wouldn’t change that. Though I do enjoy going into the office and travel to my clients frequently.

WFH because I feel comfortable and less stressed. Gives me flexibility.

I love WFH and can’t see myself going back. More time in the morning, no commute and when I’m having a hard day it’s much easier to take 5 and reset and home than it is at work.

Yep it suck when you need to just “walk away” for a bit when you’re stressed. In an office it can be loud and overwhelming, but at home you need nobody’s permission. Can’t imagine doing sales in an office.

WFH and I love it. More flexibility and agility I personally like it. I know some of my colleagues don’t like working from home so I would say it depends upon your individual choice.

I have been WFH since the late 90s and would never go back to an office setting.

Damn what an OG!! How was it like in the late 90s and the early 00s?

A grind for sure but a simpler time and I do miss it! No desktop let alone a laptop. I was repping golf and apparel at the time and literally had to draw logos for shirt and hat designs on triple-sheet carbon orders and then submit via fax. The money was great but the net 90, once they took delivery, sucked!

I only worked at an office back when I was an intern. Have been doing remotely my entire professional career! I’ve spend some days per year working inside an office ( previous hybrid company), and noticed that I was working more than everyone else by having more efficient meetings over zoom. That, along with lunch times ! I still go to a coworking every now and then, but have optimized my home, life and schedule to WFH and love it

Pretty sure this has been covered A LOT here, but I'm 100% in the WFH camp.

No commute, I can close the door to my office, and walk my dog.

While I prefer WFH, I acknowledge that WFO is necessary in some circumstances. I plan to be remote in future roles but it doesn't translate as well if the culture/drive isn't there to support it.

Work from home, no question. You definitely have to be self-motivated and organized though.

Its all based on personality and preference. I am in the WFH camp. I love the flexibility, solitude and peace and quiet so I can focus and do my best work. Others find that demotivating. So its where ever you do your best work

I love hanging with office homies but not if I’m stuck there 9-5 everyday. Working from home has been great. Working out, doing things around the house, not overworking, some days I start late but some days I finish late. It’s great!

I've worked from home since 1998. I do spend a fair amount of time traveling to customers with somewhat regular trips to the office. My daily commute includes walking all the way downstairs for my morning coffee and back upstairs to my HO. That can be dangerous sometimes because my cat likes to follow me around and can get tangled up with my feet. That is high-level risk, but the reward outweighs that risk.
