(1) does it make me look good
(2) does it make me feel good
(3) does it save me time
(4) does it save me money

You need to hit one of those criteria in the first few seconds of your initial interaction with a prospect.

What value you're going to provide to them.

Is your email short and to the point?
Does it give them an idea of what you're offering and how it will benefit them?
Do you fix a problem they have?
Will what you offer make them look good for fixing the problem?

Your prospect also has to trust that you're the right person to work with as well - so you have to exude credibility and knowledge.
