What do you think about stealth start-ups?

What about them? Can you add a little context here?
"Stealth" as a marker always confused me. Are you starting a competitor to your current company and you're trying to avoid getting smacked by a lawsuit? Are your investors requiring you're silent until you launch? Are you lying?
You just sprinkle your scooters around the city overnight... then there are no bylaws saying you couldn't. boom. stealth.

Depends on why they are trying to be stealth, it seems like this is a great way to be able to say you're creating something "revolutionary" when in fact you're full of shit.
If the stealth is for a good reason why not.
