What value do you offer in a cold email?

In my last job, I didn't send out many emails because the response and booking rates were bad. I didn't have much to offer besides some ebooks. I'd usually ask if we could have a 5-min chat sometime that week.

In my new job, I'm only sending out emails and I'm asking if they'd like to get on a call where I'll brainstorm some amazing leads for them - with the goal of getting them on the AE's calendar. This has been working well for getting people to book with me.

What do you all do to give value/get meetings booked in a cold email?

Nailing the unmet need, the more specific you can get the more meetings you can book.

If looking to enter an existing/saturated market, focus on uncovering secondary jobs-to-be-done.

In my opinion, the classic mistake is trying to book a meeting from the outset. The goal of my outbound cadences are to confirm i’ve identified the right stakeholder... Only after I’ve confirmed this, I try to get the discovery call.
